Brocade FC switches

Hi

We have Hitachi AMS-2100 and HUS-110 FC Storages. We want to procure Brocade FC switch. Will anyone please suggest me compatible FC switches?

Thanks

Re: Brocade FC switches

We are using the 6510's at our location to connect our Hitachi CB500's

Re: Brocade FC switches

hitachi storage complies with all the FC standards and specs *proud_smiley*

so any modern 8G/16G switch will work for you

Re: Brocade FC switches

this depends on the number of ports you expect to have in your SAN. i think 6505 or 6510 will be good for you, but please note that it's best to have dual redundant SAN, which means that you'll need a pair of devices.

Re: Brocade FC switches

Hi,

I do not have production environment. We have to use this switch for storage testing project. I want 48 ports FC switch.

Shall I distinguish this one switch in two, so that I can connect two different storages to one switch?

Thanks

48 ports >>> buy a 6510

^^^that's per your own requirements, compatibility, budget, need to haves, nice to haves etcetc.

In essence you can connect as many storage to 1 switch as you have ports available.

Thanks for the reply.

Shall I used following Brocade switches for AMS 2100 and HUS 110 storage

  1. BR-5100 – 8G - 40port switch fully populated
  2. BR-5100 – 8G - 24port active.
  3. Brocade DS-4900 – 4G - 32port active

Thanks
