Brocade 300 does not recognize any USB stick connected.

Hi Team,

Just want to seek help on how to enable USB storage device on brocade.

We have tried a number of USB sticks but the switch does not recognize any of those.

It cannot enable the device using 'usbstorage -e', output will be 'device not found'.

We are trying to upload and download configuration via USB.

Does the switch require Brocade branded USB stick for this feature.

How can we use generic USB stick?

Are there any USB brands supported?

Thank you.

Regards,

Bryan

i don't think this is possible

i'm not aware of any, but brocade branded usb stick is "stec" with vid 136b. i currently have two generations of them, one of them is pid 0001 and another is pid 0003. if you could find a stec stick with these ids, it will most likely work.

Re: Brocade 300 does not recognize any USB stick connected.

Hello Bauke,

This is from our FIO Team:

XBR-USB-4GB is the only part number I see that might be it, that is Brocade-branded.

Hopefully this helps; if we may be of further assistance via the Community Boards, please let us know.

Regards,

Denise
