Hi, I have a customer plan to add a 4900 into following configuration. Just wonder if it is a support/proper configuration. Anyone can share?
Both 48000-1 and 48000-2 installed FR4-18i. I am concerning the 48000-2 as the edge fabric for 48000-1 while also as BB fabric to 4900.
This configuration try to achieve resource sharing between 48000-1 to 48000-2, together with 48000-2 to 4900. While no sharing between 48000-1 with 4900.

you question is a little confused.
--->>> While no sharing between 48000-1 with 4900. ?????
--->>> I am concerning the 48000-2 as the edge fabric for 48000-1 while also as BB fabric to 4900.
are both 48K ( 1 and 2 ) in the same or different Fabric, or just connect trough the FR4 Blade such a ISL ?

TechHelp24, thanks a lot.
Yes, there is no sharing between 48000-1 with 4900. Again sharing requirement is between 48000-1 to 48000-2. And 48000-2 to 4900. No sharing between 48000-1 with 4900 needed, which item are you confused with?
For the second part, let me elaborate a bit more. No ISL at all. All of them are IFL. Both 48k-1 and 48k-2 is not in the same fabric.
Above is a valid configuration while 48k-1 is BB fabric and 48k-2 is the edge fabric, again FR4 blade are installed on both. IFL but not ISL.
This one is also valid while 48k-2 is the BB fabric and 4900 is the edge fabric.
But how about combine them together as:
Is it supported or valid?

i think i have understand what you mean.
i was confused to you question ( null ) about BB --> Edge --> BB.
Kelvkwok, it is Supported and Valid as follow BB to edge:
1) Attaching the Backbone fabric to one or more edge fabrics utilizing Inter Fabric Links (EX_Port-to-E_Port links)
It is Supported and valid as follow example:
2) Edge-Edge Device Sharing from / beetwen Fabric A to Fabric C
3) Edge-Backbone Device Sharing from / beetwen Fabric A to Fabric BB
Please note, this was Supported by FabOS 5.2 but i think is supported with all other Higher release.
