firmware not upgrading

Hello All,

I downloaded the firmvare v6.1.2c for my 200E switch. The current version is v6.0.0c.I unziped to a folder v6.1.2c and there are many folders like SWBD21,23,...etc.then I put the folder v6.1.2c in the ftp server say ( my IE when try to access the folder by ftp( I am able to see all the folders like SWBD21,23 etc.

now the problem is when I try to upgrade the firmware through the telnet getting error as below....

SW1:admin> firmwaredownload
Server Name or IP Address:
User Name: test
File Name: /v6.1.2c/release.plist
Network Protocol(1-auto-select, 2-FTP, 3-SCP) : 2
Checking system settings for firmwaredownload...
Protocol selected: FTP
Trying address-->AF_INET IP:, flags : 2
The server is inaccessible or firmware path is invalid. Please make sure the server name or IP address, the user/password and the firmware path are valid.

Any help?

Re: firmware not upgrading

please check if your ftp structure is like this ftproot/v6.1.2c/....

You wrote--> IE when try to access the folder by ftp( I am able to see all the folders like SWBD21,23

This looks to me that you have copied the content of the frimwarefolder to the FTP root.

Check if you have a firewall between the switches and the ftp server.

Check your ftpserver logs if you can see the login of the switch.
