Linux 2.4.21-27.0.2.ELsmp

I have a linux server connected to my SAN. The hbas are Qlogic 2340. Everytime my linux guy reboots his server, the switch status becomes unhealthy, and it say I have a faulty port. As soon as the server is back up, switch status is healthy again. We are connected to a EMC CX600. Has anyone noticed this issue with linux servers?

This usually occurs to us with other servers, solaris and aix, we have HDS 9980V instead of EMC and Emulex.I believe this is a "normal" behaviour.

check your wabric watch setting and your switch status policy settings. They seem a little touchy. Since the port sees a loss of sync, possibly a loss of signal, and several state changes, it is causing the switch status policy to show the switch as down.
