Inconsistent switches amount from 2 APIs

Hi,

Can you help me understand why when I use the following API to get all the fcswitches, I get 26 switches(using the key value):

rest/resourcegroups/All/fcfabrics/[fcfabric-id]/fcswitches

But when I use the following API to get all the fcports, I get 31 switches(using the command value):

rest/resourcegroups/All/fcswitches/[fcswitch-id]/fcports

How come that the first API gives back 26 switches and the second API gives back 31 switches?

Am I missing anything?

Thanks for the help.

Not that I know the exact answer, but...

Do you have VF and/or FCR in your environment? Or maybe some switches configured as AG?

Hi,

Yes. I have exactly 5 switches that are configured as AG.
Can it be related?

I've checked it.
That's exactly the switches that are missing.

Thank you!

Re: Inconsistent switches amount from 2 APIs

That makes sense. From the "fabric" point of view these "switches" are not switches, as they do not act as a separate domain etc... But otherwise they are discoverable as individual switches and could be polled for properties, stats and so forth... Good that this helped!
