I would like to get some information on how to setup an ISL between two different brocades DC04 SAN switches between two different sites. Currently, each switch is Principle and has active ZOne configuration enabled. Both switches have diffenrent configurations. Reason for ISL is to setup EVA Continous Access therefore the switches has to be ISL'd.

When you ISL your switches you'll be merging fabrics (unless your using FCR).
To have an succesfull fabric merge you'll have to follow some guidelines. >>> pag 451
You also have to follow guidelines regarding the distance between for DCX's in order to get an decent ISL >>> pag 295
Third there are EVA rules, but you'll probably following those already. >>> pag 257
Last but not last, for CA you'll have to change switch setting with regards to portbased routing, iod and dls if i'm not mistaken. >>> pag 265
For al off the above HP has written a SAN design guide which can be found here http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00403562/c00403562.pdf (nov 2010)
Pagenumbers refer to pages in that guide.
-make sure switch setting are indentical bewteen the two (except for the Domain ID).
-make sure zoning is correct in order to make the fabric merge possible.
-config your ports according to cable lenghts en technique used
-isl your switches
-setup switch with right settings for CA
-put zoning in place to let EVA's see each other
-create DR groups to replicate data
