How to enable FPI monitoring

Our switch SN6520 has FOS 8.0.1 I would like to know how to enable and use FPI monitoring without the need to purchase license of Fabric vision and MAPS? Is it possible? Regards, vplucky2

@vplucky2

moved the thread in corect forum.

in order to enable FPImon, MAPS must be configured, and a FabricVision capable license is mandatory.

Re: How to enable FPI monitoring

Notice the following

In Fabric OS 8.0.1 and later releases, fabric performance impact monitoring no longer requires a Fabric Vision license; it is
enabled by default

Re: How to enable FPI monitoring

Hi, If the FPI monitoring is enabled by default, then how to check it? how to perform its monitoring? I mean does it have a separate URL or a separate application to be installed? Need this to monitor our SAN environment

Hello,

The best is to read the command reference guide as well as admin guide around MAPS.

MAPS can provide alerts to RASLOG, by email or through SNMP. There is no external application to load. BNA can be useful because there is an integration of MAPS on it.

Try commands:

mapsdb --show all

mapsconfig --show

Check if default MAPS configuration is as you are expecting for reporting.
