Re: How to change default syslog port number

Hi Sorry I should have added more information. We do not use BNA in our environment, I need to change this directly on the switch itself. I tried using syslogadmin --set -ip **filtered**.**filtered**.**filtered**.xxxx -port xxxx but it doesn't work.

If I use with the secure option it works but routes the traffic via TCP (TLS), I need the traffic to go via UDP:

This is the command syslogadmin --set -ip **filtered**.**filtered**.**filtered**.xxxx -secure -port xxxx

as per my opinion, there is nothing specified, for that reason make more sense if youfirst  would specified any type of Switch, FOS or whatever.

I've never change the UDP port, but I think you need first to add a new rule / desidered port, with the command "ipfilter operand...."

Re: How to change default syslog port number

I think you have to changed it directly via root in /etc/service and reload deamon. I recommende to open SR to brocade.
