D-port tests failing

Hi All

 

We have 4 x sanb48 switches , 2 at each site. each switch in each site, is belong to differnet fabric, and the member in the fabric is the remote switch (using ISL).

Each switch has 2 Logical switches , each Logical switch has 1 ISL for the sites connectivity.

 

The is new env, and also this is new DWDM infrastructure - so we want to see that all d-port tests are successfull.

 

Fabric A - connect to ISL ports that are run on the same path (Lets call it MED1)

Fabric B - connect to ISL ports that are run on the same path (Lets call it SHAHAM).

Port 4 + 19 in each swtich are the isl ports (16G LW), and we see that we are only manage to pass d-port test only on 1 isl.

 

2/4 tests are failed without any reason that i can understand.

 

Please advise what could be the problem, we also try to swap the gbic/cables from Patch Panel, without any change.

first at all, you are here in the community, for that reason you should don't post here any Case Number.

 

back to you main Topic, from output i see you have 4 Different FID, now is the question do you want to merge the Fabric's or is here any EX Port configured ?

Some WDM gear requires the ports connected to that gear to be modified. What WDM gear are you running?

 

When you setup the D-Port testing, did you specify the -dwdm option?

Yes - we configue -dwdm.

Hi

 

This is streach env - means 2 san switch at each site , so total 4 SAN swtiches.
2 Fabric's - Fabric A (DOWN) Fabric B (UP)
Each Fabric has 2 Logical Swtiches : Private + Public.
