Consistent firmware across 480000?

We have two 48000's which each make up a Fabric. We are running 6.1.0c and will be upgrading to the latest in a couple of weeks. We wanted to upgrade 1 Director and have it run for a week to ensure no issues, would there be any issues running inconsistent firmware in the Fabrics for a week? Are SANs are active/active so all the hosts write through both Fabrics.

This will work. Please read the release notes of the FOS code carefully before you update.

I hope this helps,

This is how we direct our customers to upgrade their SAN.

It is always a good idea to ensure you don't have any unexpected problems.

I would highly recommend verifying your servers and HBAs are compatible with both levels that will be running in the SAN.
