I have a quick question.
Can I run a command firmwaredownload and cancel it any time?
To be precise. I want to only check a network connectivity beetwen FTP server and switch.
So I want to cancel this command after about 10 sec after start.

Hmm... Never tried to cancel a firmwaredownload. That said, I don't think it can be cancelled.
If you want to test FTP without upgrading, try a supportsave or configupload.
Supportsave will run for a while so it's not the best option.

yes, you can do.
Server Name or IP Address: 192.168.24.11
User Name: admin
File Name: v7.4.1e
Network Protocol(1-auto-select, 2-FTP, 3-SCP, 4-SFTP) : 2
Do you want to continue (Y/N)[N]:
in last step, ->>>>Do you want to continue (Y/N)[N]:
then you select N or No

Supportsave and configupload are working properly.
But above commands upload files to ftp server.
Firmwaredownload download files from server.
I am asking because I have problem with firmwaredownload.
This command stops with message: Failed to access ftp://ftp:@xx.xx.xx.xx/v7.4.3d/release.plist
Maybe this is a network problem....

The connection during firmwaredownload, configupload, and suportsave is oppened from switch to server side.
Only ssh connection is opened from server to switch when you accessing the switch.
So its true that if the configupload is successfull firmwaredownload should work.
In your test, did you upload config/supportsave via ftp protocol ?
Did you try another protocol ?
Is the File name correct based on your ftp root path?

I am also tried app SAN Loader 5.0. This tool use ftp and/or scp protocol. Both failed.
Do you know that tool? Very useful

I think yes. I tried with just folder name and path to folder with folder name via CLI.

to avoid som euselessly answer, I would suggest to open a Threads with the main problem.
You ask native how to abort / cancelled firmwaredownload.
then you say firmwaredownload is failed access to FTP - when failed, then is no necessary to abort the download -
now you ask about any Tools - I don't know this tools - as you say wonderfull wht not working.
well, what is you main issue ?

I was tried to upgrade firmware from 7.4.1c to 7.4.1d. I unziped file and put it to ftp root.
During this process I encountered a message: Failed to access ftp://pawel:@172.17.200.32/./release.plist
I was trying with path "7.4.1d" and "/7.4.1d" and maybe some else.
I tried some steps but nothing changed. Maybe it`s a network problem so I asked can I stop this process because LAN admin can open all communication between SAN switch and ftp server. If this message will not display I will stop firmwaredownload process and after working hours I will start this process again.
I think that`s clear :)

I'm quite sure you point to wrong file name during firmwaredownload command
is the FTP in same subnet as the switch ?
restart as admin the firmwaredownload from Command Line, and post here the entire procedure what you try to do from output.
