CPU usage rate of FC Switch rises with 3PAR OS 3.3.1 MU1 & FC Switch (FOS v7.4.2a)

I am using HPE 3PAR (3.3.1 MU1) and Brocade 6510 (FOS v7.4.2a).
If you connect 3PAR to 6510, login to the switch and check with the top command, you can see that the CPU utilization of 6510 is rising.

Every few minutes the CPU usage of the msd0 process rise by several tens of seconds and then settling down.

By the way, disconnecting 3PAR and Brocade 6510 reduce CPU usage.


Is there a way to solve this situation?

From what I know, 3par arrays can do quite a number of interesting things in SAN, including NPIV for a seamless port-to-port failover and Target Driven Zones. I think these features might require interaction with msd and therefore the array controllers periodically poll the switches to discover any possible changes. If you don't use any of these features, you might need to ask your HPE support guys if it is possible to turn off the polling.
