Brocade 5000 running FOS 5.3.0c and snmp

We have some Brocade 5000's that we are trying to enable snmpv1 on for communication with our Monza servers. When ever we try to use the snmpconfig --enable snmpv1 as either root or admin we get an

"RBAC permission denied." error. There are only 4 accounts on the switch. root, admin, factory and user.

Any ideas on what to try would be appreciated.

Hello,

Can you check if there is a particular policy in place on the Fabric which can create this restirction on this particular switch?

Re: Brocade 5000 running FOS 5.3.0c and snmp

Hi,

snmpconfig --enable snmpv1 is not supported with 5.3.  Any incorrect snmpconfig command will give this error. This comes in 7.0.
