Brocade 300 without Fabric license and redundancy

Hi

I would like deploy FC network for my company. Goal is to have lowest cost.

I have cheap proposal for Cisco and Brocade. I prefer Brocade as Cisco MDS is old and only 4Gbps.

Design:

- two brocade 300 switches with 8 active ports

- NetApp FAS as FC storage

- Servers with Dual Port FC Card

Each server will be connected to two Brocade 300 switches

Each NetApp FAS will be connected to two Brocade 300 switches

Do I need still connection between both Brocade 300 and then Fabric license ?

Re: Brocade 300 without Fabric license and redundancy

In this scenario it would be preferred to keep two separate fabrics (each consisting of a single switch). So no fabric license required.

A single fabric is less redundant w.r.t fabric wide events and the like.
