Which Iron Family Router Best Resolves this Bandwith Compression Necessity

The spec sheet dont say much about compression. Does anyone in the forum have a suggestion or two for helping solve the following issue:

"We are adding another client to our 20Mbps IPSEC VLAN DR link, and expect the bandwidth requirements to double. We do not want to increase our bandwidth at both sites to 40Mbps. At this point the cost of bandwidth becomes too high to support the requirements for DR. Instead we have been investigating the use of compression routers at both sides of the IPSEC tunnel. Can you recommend an OEM and model number that would allow us to take our 20Mbps IPSEC VPN and increase the bandwidth."

Thanks,

Rick

Hi Rick,

The spec sheet for which product please? I think you are after something like a Riverbed or Blue Coat WAN Optimiser? Brocade Ethernet routers do not do compression.

Thanks

Michael.
