WOL issue with VLANS - Please Help

I cant seem to make WOL work over vlans despite making the changes that I understand I need.    Does anyone have a suggestion as to what to try next.   I have verified that WOL works if you are on the same vlan.

Thanks for any comments or suggestions.

Environment includes - Turboirons, Fastirons & VDX 6720's

Goal - Wake up computers on vlan 215 from Vlan 115

Vlan 50 = Servers

VLAN 115 -  10.10.15.x/24 - Workstations Main building

VLAN 215 -  10.20.15.x/24 - Workstations North Building

Re: WOL issue with VLANS - Please Help

Hi my name is Peter and I work for Brocade.

I need a bit more information before I can attempt to answer your question.

What is the server/service you are using for WOL?

Is the WOL service/server on VLAN 215?

Can I get a network drawing show the location and interconnections between the devices in your network?

Specifically how the workstations/servers on VLAN 115, VLAN 215 and VLAN 50 are linked together and through which devices?

Can I get the VLAN and VE information from each device in the path from the WOL service to the workstations you want to wake up?

1.   Word document with responses to your questions - Includes rough network diagram

2.    Word files for each of the 4 switches

Please let me know if you need additional information.
