VDX 6740 SNMP in multibridge set-up

[ Edited ]

Hi Guys,

SNMP configured as following:

snmp-server contact NAME@DOMAIN.TLD
snmp-server location LOC
snmp-server sys-descr DESC
snmp-server enable trap
snmp-server community STRING groupname GROUPNAME
snmp-server view ALL 1 included
snmp-server group GROUPNAME v2c read ALL

Seems to work "OK", but in Observium, I see 0/23 instead of 1/0/23 - is this normal?

We had two bridges:

sw# show inventory chassis rbridge-id 1
Rbridge-id: 1

NAME: Chassis DESCR System Chassis
SID:BR-VDX6740 SwitchType:131
PN:40-1000927-06 SN:

sw# show inventory chassis rbridge-id 2
Rbridge-id: 2

NAME: Chassis DESCR System Chassis
SID:BR-VDX6740 SwitchType:131
PN:40-1000927-06 SN:

sw# sh red

=== MM Redundancy Statistics ===
Current Active Session:

Start Time: 23:31:26 PDT Tue Apr 26 2016

Thanks,

Re: VDX 6740 SNMP in multibridge set-up

Hi,

It is normal for SNMP to see port numbers minus the RBridgeID

I have Cacti configured and this shows the same behaviour

Regards

Mick
