Traffic Shaping in Virtual Interface in Brocade NetIron MLX router

Dear Members,

Any possibility to police traffic in virtual interface of the router.

In Cisco, there is a way with hierarchical policy-maps.

Any similar way with Brocade NetIron MLX router?

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Traffic Shaping in Virtual Interface in Brocade NetIron MLX router

No, you cannot control that at a VE level.

Brocade does have their complete guide available for traffic management called

Brocade NetIron QoS and Traffic Management Configuration Guide

You may be able to accomplish what you want through QOS instead by forcing the priority of the packets you want to target, you can manipulate inbound traffic to a VE (not traffic outbound though) with ACL's and force a Qos priority and then shape off of that.
