Hi,
Does FESX448 running PREM image support Sflow? I can configure FCX624 and Fcx648 without any issue. But the same settings does not work on the FESX448.

metallica,
Are you saying this config is not working on fesx? OR is it the output from the fesx unit itself? Could you provide more info?
08-08-2013 10:42 PM
Well that's my switch config output. And this configuration do not work for sflow collector. Means collector are not able to get any data.

metallica,
By switch config output, do you mean this config is from FCX switch where its working OR is it from FESX ?
08-09-2013 09:13 AM
Settings in FCX is working fine.
FESX is not working. You see output of fesx above.
Thanks

metallica,
Have you also enabled 'sflow forwarding' on the switch using the following steps at the interface level?
Enabling sFlow forwarding on individual interfaces:
To enable sFlow forwarding enter commands such as the following.
Brocade(config)#sflow enable
Brocade(config)#interface ethernet 1/1 to 1/8
Brocade(config-mif-1/1-1/8)#sflow forwarding

metallica,
Thankyou for sharing the above configuration. You are able to enable sflow forwarding, which means the sflow command is available and it should be supported. Can you share the output of the following two commands as well?
'show sflow'
'show statistics brief ethernet 26 to 38'
The 'show sflow' command basically displays all the sflow information and port statistics. The second command 'show statistics brief ethernet 26 to 38' gives the configuration details on each of these interfaces and would tell us if there is traffic coming into those ports.

Hi metallica,
Quote "sflow destination x.x.x.x 6969 <------------ using custom port"
Can you try the FESX with the default port for sFlow (6343)?
If that cannot be done can you please do a PCAP - I am thinking the FESX might only send via 6343 (sFlow is an ASIC function), but I do not have access to a FESX to test for you.
Thanks
Michael.
