I currently have an MPLS connection set up between my remote networks with BGP handling the routes between. I have set up a secondary fail-over connection to be handled by a VPN connection set up on my firewall. When the MPLS connection goes down the router takes too long to re-route to the static connection.
What is the best way to tell the BGP routes to die faster and how to evaluate how quickly I should tell them to die?
