Re: Problems with FWS624 PoE

Hi fabricio

Not sure here, as you are in the boot monitor mode, can you see if there is a 'copy' or 'ncopy' command?

if there is a copy command then try and just flash the pri flash with the image.

Thanks

Michael.

Re: Problems with FWS624 PoE

hi michael.

we are using this command :

boot system tftp 192.168.0.2 FGSL07001c.bin (is this image correct?)

do we need add the command "copy"? do you know waht is the way that we need to follow?

when we turn on the switch we only can access at this level :"FGS-Boot" ,and we can see the next options:

FGS-Boot>
boot             Boot system
ip               Set IP address
monitor          Toggle monitor mode
reset            Reset system
show             Show information

we don't have more option when we access in the switch.

the switch was working correctly but it failed and lost his configuration.

and this is the only option that I can see when we access in the switch

I hope You can help me !

Regards.

Re: Problems with FWS624 PoE

Hi fabricio,

Yes I can confirm that is the correct image for that switch so long as the boot image is version FGZ05000.bin.

If the boot code is older then that then you would need an older firmware.

try and I do not know if this will work but do a 'show flash' see what version you have of the boot monitor.

if that does not work try 'show ?'

Thanks

Michael.

Re: Problems with FWS624 PoE

Hi  fabricio,

That is the correct version of the of the boot code and it look like the correct image is already in the pri and sec flash.

if 'boot system flash sec' or boot system flash pri' do not work then I suggest you log a call to the Brocade TAC.

Thanks

Michael.
