Re: Please suggest equivalent command

Hi Jamshed,

no service pad command in disables Packet Assembler/Disassembler (PAD) service, which is used for X.25 networks.

Answer– no need as X.25 is not supported on Brocade

service timestamps debug datetime msec localtime show-timezone

Answer - Use switch(config)#clock timezone gmt ? and logging will use it automatically

service password-encryption

Answer – Password encryption is on by default

service tcp-keepalives-in

service tcp-keepalives-out

Answer – looked up what these command do on Cisco and as far as I can see used only to reset a telnet session when passing through two routers – no idea.

This is all I could find.

Thanks

Michael.

Group ID (Vulid):  V-5615
Group Title:  TCP Keep-Alives must be enabled.
Rule ID:  SV-5615r2_rule
Severity: CAT III
Rule Version (STIG-ID):  NET0724
Rule Title: The network element must have TCP Keep-Alives enabled for TCP sessions.

This service is disabled by default.  If you are using Solarwinds to run a compliance check you will want to look for any type of configuration such as :

ip tcp keepalive

use the "no" command to reverse this CLI.
