NTP server Authentication

I currently have two MLX switches acting as unauthenticated NTP servers for my network and I need to migrate to authenticated NTP.  My first thought was to make one switch authenticated and leave the 2nd switch unauthenticated while I migrate all devices in my network to authenticated NTP.  Then once all my devices have associates with authenticated NTP server, turn on authentication within the 2nd MLX.  I was asked if there was a way to selectively turn authenticated NTP on within the MLX.  That way both MLXs could do authenticated and unauthenticated NTP. For looking at my configuration options it doesn't appear to have that option.  It looks like an all or nothing approach.  Am I wrong?

Thanks for any sight.

Re: NTP server Authentication

Hi Jason,

You are correct, either NTP Auth or not, cannot do both.  So I would go with your first options, Auth on 1 MLX and unauth on the other untill you move all over.

Thanks

Michael.

Thanks
