IP Directed-Broadcast ACL

Has anyone come up with a good way to tie the "ip directed-broadcast" command to an ACL for WoL purposes?  In Cisco IOS you can simply issue the "ip directed-broadcast <aclnumber>" command but there is no way to do this with Brocade.

Re: IP Directed-Broadcast ACL

Hi Matt,

IP Directed-Broadcast is a global or interface level commond only - I do not think you can tie it with an ACL.

Assume WoL is Wake on LAN?

Re: IP Directed-Broadcast ACL

Thanks for the reply.  Yes, WoL is for wake on LAN.  We are looking to implement wake on LAN but because we have numerous subnets we have to implement "ip directed-broadcast".  We want to limit these broadcast to only come from our Microsoft SCCM server.

Re: IP Directed-Broadcast ACL

please check out this link,

You have other options for doing though MS - they recommand UDP where possible if not then change the default port for WoL then you can use the ip forward command on the Brocade (I think).

Re: IP Directed-Broadcast ACL

Hi!

Do you find a solution for that?  We have the same problem!  We are changing all our Cisco Routers and Switches for Brocade.  We are able to make wol working with ip forward-protocol and ip helper-address but we are not able to cross other routers...

 Thanks
