ICX6650-MLXe MCT Client Problem

Hi

i have a problem with the client configuration  on an ICX6650. The ICX is connected over a static trunk to the MLXe and the ICX is a MCT Member

Client Conf ICX:

client TOR

  rbridge-id 13

  client-interface ethernet 1/1/5 (static trunk)

  deploy

show interfaces brief:

1/1/5   Up      Forward Full 10G   5     Yes N/A  0   748e.f8e7.e736

1/1/6   Up      Forward Full 10G   5     Yes N/A  0   748e.f8e7.e736

1/1/7   Up      Forward Full 10G   5     Yes N/A  0   748e.f8e7.e736

Client Info:

------------

Number of Clients configured: 1

Name                     Rbridge-id Config      LACP Port  Trunk FSM-State

TOR                      13         Deployed    no   1/1/5    5    Master

The ports on the MLXe are also up and running

But  i cannot reach any ip on both side. Traffic is only working while the Client-interface is undeployed

ping 10.10.10.1

Sending 1, 16-byte ICMP Echo to 10.10.10.1, timeout 5000 msec, TTL 64

Type Control-c to abort

Request timed out.

No reply from remote host.

It seems like there is anything blocked. The Router Interface and the ICL are in the same tagged vlan

Thanks in Advance

Best regards

Re: ICX6650-MLXe MCT Client Problem

Hi,

Sorry I do not understand the topology here. Are you saying that you have a ICX and MLXe together in a MCT?

Also I recommend you have a look at http://community.brocade.com/docs/DOC-2894 as this give a great MCT setup with configs.

Thanks

Michael.

Re: ICX6650-MLXe MCT Client Problem

Hi Michael

thanks for the response. Sorry for the misleading explanation. I have a MCT with two ICX. On each ICX is a configured trunk  to a MLX-e. The MLX Trunk (4 Interfaces) is configured as a client interface for the MCT. Without a client configuration for the MLX, The Communication between the MLX and the  ICX is working.  But once the client config is deployed (all Ports are up and in forward state). There is no traffic anymore

MCT CLinet on IXC:

Client Info:

------------

Number of Clients configured: 1

Name                     Rbridge-id Config      LACP Port  Trunk FSM-State

TOR                      13         Deployed    no   1/1/5    5    Master

Best regards

Re: ICX6650-MLXe MCT Client Problem

Hi Sascha, can you please share your configuration instead of some snippets? We should be able to have a closer look then.
