ICX6450 Layer 3 license and 10Gig ports

Anyone using ICX 6450 with layer3 license and 10gig port? The 2x10Gig are enabled by default for passing layer 3 traffic or we need license to upgrade from 1gig to 10gig?

Re: ICX6450 Layer 3 license and 10Gig ports

Hi

Looking at the ICX 6450 datasheet, I see 4 10G port but only two are enabled for 10G - you require the ICX6450-2X10G-LIC-POD license to upgrade the remaining two ports to 10G.

Thanks

Michael.

Also if you do require the extra two 10G port (1/2/2 and 1/2/4) the following link give you the process.

Re: ICX6450 Layer 3 license and 10Gig ports

This is the reply we got from our vendor. The unit has 2x10G stack ports active (not for standard IP traffic, but for management to run one switch as master and others as slave). "

So it means 2x10gig for uplink router are only 1gig by default? We need license to conver 4x10gig or 2x10gig?

Little confusing

Ok, doubled checked with a mate of mine (thanks Jiri) - routing is fine over ports 1 and 3 when NOT stacked.

Thanks

Re: ICX6450 Layer 3 license and 10Gig ports

So by default port 1 and 3 which is 10gig ready to route the L3 traffic?
Surprised if its so because vendor saying 10gig uplink wont work by default for routing L3 traffic

To activate another 2x10gi which is port 2 and 4 we need the license ?

Thank you
