ICX-6610 L3 routing

Aloha,

after using exclusively Cisco L3 devices for the last decade, I now got my hands on a couple of ICX6610's with premium license, runing software version 07.3.00aT7f1. But I am struggling in getting (static) routing set up at all on these devices. According to the manual, there should be a "route" command in global exec mode, like

ICX6610-24 Switch(config)#ip route 209.157.2.0 255.255.255.0 192.168.2.1

similar to the Cisco syntax. However, there is not:

ICX6610-24 Switch(config)#ip route

Unrecognized command

Neither do I have any sort of route-like command available at any point of the cli... The only sort of related command is the default-gw command, but that's not what I need.

Is there any sort of global command I need to execute before I have access to L3 features?

As usual, any help is much appreciated.

Re: ICX-6610 L3 routing

I believe, your code "07.3.00aT7f1" is a switch code not a routing code which would normally end in f3

you might want to take a look at this link

Hi Greg,

thank you very much for your reply. The problem was indeed booting the wrong FW image. All is good now in L3 land...

Cheers!
