What is the Difference between SWS, SPR, SWR, SPS, etc?
I can't find a list of the software image types and what the abbreviations mean. Thanks!
eg. SWS08030h.bin *or* swz10106.bin

assuming you ask for a Image for ICX Series Switches
see URL below for some details, otherwise post more Info, with exact Switch Modell
BTW. I'll move you threads in correct Forum.

well, and I ask for Switch Model, is
some image are for Additional Module, some for switch itself and boot Image
simplest way if you don't are confident with the switch strat a upgrade with the command
copy tftp system-manifest TFTP_IP_ADDRESS NAME_OF_Manifest.txt all-images-primary or secondary
where the "Manifest.txt" name is the name of manifest in the Firmware package

SWRxxxx.sig is Routing Mpode Signature
SWSxxxx.sig is Switch Mode Signature
swzxxxx.sig is boot Image Signature
SWRyyyy.bin is a routing Image - Routing License/Layer3 is required
SWSyyyy.bin is a Switch Image no additioanl License is requires = Layer2
example: swz10106.bin is a boot Image Code
