Can someone help me compare and contrast SPX and Stacking?

I have a fleet of several dozen Brocade switches, and I'm trying to make a decision regarding whether to configure them in a traditional stack or use SPX. I've read many article on the actual command line configuration of how to migrate from Stack to SPX but nothing that addresses the Why? I don't see the difference. If someone could explian it or point me to an article that contrasts the two methodolgies that would be helpful.

Thanks,

Re: Can someone help me compare and contrast SPX and Stacking?

Hi,

Here is a link to a stacking guide

http://www.brocade.com/content/html/en/configuration-guide/fastiron-08040-switchstackingguide/GUID-EF45D35F-B5B2-4DA4-92E3-E19FA3D199C2.html

This shows both options and illustrates the differences between them

Hopefully this will answer your questions

Regards

Mick
