CARD_STATE_INTERACTIVE HELP

I have a MLX4 and I'm trying to get a 1Gx20 card to work but keeps coming up CARD_STATE_INTERACTIVE.

#sh mod

If I force a boot  here is the output.

Re: CARD_STATE_INTERACTIVE HELP

Hello,

It looks like the line card you have is for an XMR and not an MLX.  I think this is what is stopping the line card from booting.  The other thing that usually causes the card to go into interactive mode is if the software image does not match.  From the boot messages it looks like the card is running 5.6.0h

If the software image is the same as the other cards then I am pretty sure that the problem is due to you trying to run XMR and MLX cards in the same chassis.  In which case you will need to replace the card with an MLX card.

"show log" may also tell you why it won't boot.

The other thing I notice is that you have a mix of high speed switch fabric cards and normal switch fabrics.  SF and HSF.  This is not supported in the same chassis (unless you are doing a migration between SF and HSF)

Steve

Re: CARD_STATE_INTERACTIVE HELP

Thanks.  I bet that's why.  And I'll get those SF fixed.
