BUM traffic (Broadcast limit)

Hello Everyone,

I ´ve read that Brocade MLX forwards BUM traffic at linewire speed...but sometimes some end devices do not support that. In a Multi-chassis design, BUM traffic is forwarded at wire speed??? or in MCT is forwarded to the CPU for processing??? Can someone help me with this doubt?

We have our access PODs in MCT and there are some applications that do not work well and sometimes they send a lot of Unknown Unicast or Broadcast traffic, what I have seen is that this affects the Traffic Manager and sometimes stops working (traffic forwarded in hardware still works) and we have to reset the module so it can work again.

My question is...will Broadcast Limit command help? what is a best practice? I mean what percentage should I limit?
