Re: What SFP type is installed??

Hi,

From the output I can see that it is:

Vendor part number: 57-0000075-01

Description: 10g Sr Small Form-factor Pluggable (sfp) Transceiver

In the output of your show command, you can also see that the type of connector/fibre plug is LC.

If you search with this string on google, "+SFP +LC" you will see some pictures.

the "Sr" in the description should stand for Short-Reach, so that is normally multi-mode type of fibre.

On top of that, you can see that the wavelength is 850nm, so this also confirms that it is indeed Multimode.

So, the type of fibre to connect to this port would be "LC Multimode".

I am not sure what is on the other side, in other words, what type of connector is on the other node that you connect to, but you can get fibre patches which go from LC-SC or normal LC-LC, and a few other options as well.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Brian.
