Need documentation for VDX

Hello.

Could you please provide the link to Configuration and command reference guides for VDX 6720 switches?

Thanks.

Re: Need documentation for VDX

from my.brocade.com web site click Documentation tab (arross the top)

Choose Product Manuals

Under Product Manuals in the drop down select 'Network Operating System'

Then the VDX manual will appear.

Note NOS or  'Network Operating System' is the what is running on the VDX - this casue me some confussion too.

Thanks

Michael.

Re: Need documentation for VDX

In the dropdown menu there is no item "Network Operating System".

Under "All operating systems" item there are: FOS, M-EOSc, M-EOSn, IronWare, XPath.

Re: Need documentation for VDX

No i do not see these from drop-down menu.

At least, we've got docs from distributor.

p.s. Is there any way, procedure to reset password for this switch? Like cisco has such procedure with configuration register change.

Thanks for attention, Michael.

Re: Need documentation for VDX

hmmm, good question.

With the IP only products you plus a serial cable in and watch the boot process and hit 'B' when it display press 'B' to enther boot prompt, then type no password.

You can try that but I do not know if it works on a VDX switch.

I did have a look at the admin guide but could not see anything there for password reset.

Thanks

Michael.
