This is the age of software with software ruling Data Center architecture and operation. The Cloud, whether it is Private or Public, is leveraging this Software Defined Data Center (SDDC) architecture to scale and drive down cost of operating these Data Centers. This attracts businesses to explore and run their Enterprise Business Critical Applications such as Business Analytics and Enterprise Resource Planningon the SDDC architectures.
With VMworld 2016 fast approaching, folks are getting ready to go to Las Vegas to attend the conference and enjoy the summer in hot Vegas!!! When you are there, we would love to see you at Brocade booth (#935). This is a great opportunity for you to learn about Brocade’s agile networks for Digital Business. Brocade being the industry leading networking provider for SDDC, works closely with VMware - the pioneer in SDDC technologies, SanDisk/Western Digital – the storage technology leader and other partners to define and build best of breed solution architectures to help our customers deploy their Enterprise business critical applications in the SDDC.
Get to the breakout session We have a stimulating session to share our experience and knowledge with VMworld attendees about building a high performance SDDC and deploying business critical applications on this infrastructure. For this session, we worked closely with VMware expert Mohan Potheri, Principal Solution Architect, VMware and Patric Chang, Sr. Director, Strategic Alliance, at SanDisk/Western Digital.
Proven SDDC Architecture for Business Critical Applications In the PoC, we used VMWare and SanDisk based All Flash Virtual SAN as well as Brocade and VMWare NSX based Software Defined networking architectures, and deployed business analytics software SAP HANA and Microsoft SQL Server to demonstrate the power of a high performance SDDC. Brocade provided best of breed networking that brings architectural flexibility, operational agility, deep integration with the VMWare ecosystem and high-performance networking based on Brocade VDX switches, to support this deployment architecture. Anuj Dewangan from Brocade Product Management will talk about the tenets of a high performance software defined network for the VMWare SDDC architecture.
What's Next This is just phase 1 of the project. For VMworld 2016 Europe, as phase 2 of this project, we will deploy a Stretched Virtual SAN across two Data Centers to show use cases such as Disaster Avoidance, Cloud Burst and Cloud Migration to support Enterprise Business Critical Applications. Stay tuned for phase 2 updates in the next few weeks.
By the way, here is a list of other Brocade sessions that you don't want to miss:
