Brocade is a longstanding sponsor at NANOG, at NANOG 71 we’ll be hosting at the Beer and Gear on Tuesday October 3. The Product Management team in our Switching, Routing and Analytics BU will be meeting a host of customers all week long. We’ll discuss all the solutions are gaining traction in SP networkscolocation providers, and Internet and Cloud Exchanges, as well as other areas.

As always, the NANOG Program Committee is preparing a solid program.  Among the key topics are network telemetry data collection and network automation, themes which dovetail entirely with our visibility and automation technologies.

Internet Exchange Solutions

The drivers for explosive growth in Internet exchanges are over-the-top video, content streaming, gaming, colocation expansion and public cloud for enterprises (Figure 1).

And these applications demand ever-greater interface speeds, which explains why we’ve deployed well in excess of ten thousand 100Gbps interfaces into these networks. Brocade has long experience and knowledge in building technologies for IXPs, and we’re bringing data center costs to this growing market today.

What’s the Gear at the “Beer n Gear”?

The highly anticipated Beer ‘n Gear takes place on Tuesday evening (October 3) following the NANOG program content from 6-8pm for all registered NANOG 71 attendees. Come see us then!

Joining us also will the SLX 9540. This versatile switch (Figure 2) plays a role in data center and edge locations including DCI/WAN Edge, Internet and Cloud Exchange, Colocation, large enterprise, and others.
