Hi SAN Guru's,
I would like to start my brocade certifications as my company(for which I work) has asked me to do so. I have knowledge and worked on Cisco, also heard that Brocade is similar to cisco. If possible please required your help in finding out DOC's for certifications. My target date is 2nd week of July or Max I can extend till at the end of July 2012.

fibre channel or Ethernet?
Certification and Accreditation Programs is a great resource.
Also on the page you are right now, click on 'My Brocade' and then you have 'my Education'. In there you can find courses (free and not).

I would start by taking our free FC 101 course, and then take the Brocade Accredited Data Center Specialist. If you find that easy, then move on to take the CFA 200 basic switch administration class which would help prepare you for the Brocade Certified Fabric Administrator credential, our intermediate SAN switch administration certification. You should consult our web page for all of the details, and click on the Program Overview link, or use the pyramid on the page to help you. I am always available for questions as well, since I run the program.

I'm interested in Brocade Certification in to FC.
I have well over 2 years of experience in IBM Power / AIX / IBM Storage / Brocade SAN Switches.
Appreciate if you could tell me where i should start ?

Take CFA 200 and then the BCFA exam, or at least look at the BCFA in a Nutshell guide, then take the BCFA exam. That would be your next step based on your experience.

The Nutshell guide is for exam preparation, and is not a substitute for training. However, if you have equivalent hands-on experience, have looked at, and understood parts of the Fabric OS Admin Guide, that pertain to the exam topics, then you stand a good chance of passing. I could never guarantee you will pass, but based on what you have told me, your experience in FC and with our switches should get you close. I would also suggest you trying out some of the practice questions, and see how you do. They won't predict your exam score, but they will give you an idea of the kinds of questions that will be asked. If you email me at email@example.com, I'll send you the practice questions in a new format we are trying, and would like to get your feedback. Feel free to email me on anything else as well. I can always respond to email faster than a thread posted here. I look forward to hearing from you.
