Recommendation for a Home Lab

What would the community recommend for a home lab to study IP routing & switching?  I am studying for the BPIPA.

Re: Recommendation for a Home Lab

BPIPA course cover Campus Switches = ICX Series, and the MLX and CER/CES Series Router/Swicthes.

more indicate for a small Home LAB - as per my opinion and from a point of reasonable cost - is the ICX-7250 L3 Prem. License, because I do not think they want to put at Home a BIG MLX.

the same for CER/CES this is +/- 20K USD maschine

Re: Recommendation for a Home Lab

I've gone (so far) with a couple ICX6450's and several ICX6430's.  Since most of my work will be on edge switches in a fairly conventional environment going the 7xxx route may be a bit of overkill, especially where it comes to price.  That doesn't rule out picking up a couple 7450's down the road.

BPIPA will wait for a while.  For now my employer wants me to do the BACI.
