Question: how to delete or remove debug filter capture

I'd like to know how to clear the capture information from the debug filter utility.

lab-adx(debug-filter-MP)#sum
Number of packets captured: 12

pkt:1 OUTlen:60   IP:192.168.0.1    ->192.168.0.11    ICMP:Echo Request
pkt:2 OUTlen:60   TCP :1358 ->80    Seq:2159680645 Ack:0          SYN
pkt:3 OUTlen:73   TCP :1358 ->80    Seq:2159680646 Ack:2124080765 ACK PSH
pkt:4 OUTlen:60   TCP :1358 ->80    Seq:2159680665 Ack:0          RST
pkt:5 OUTlen:60   TCP :1358 ->80    Seq:2159680665 Ack:0          RST
pkt:6 OUTlen:60   IP:192.168.0.1    ->192.168.0.11    ICMP:Echo Request
pkt:7 OUTlen:60   IP:192.168.0.1    ->192.168.0.11    ICMP:Echo Request
pkt:8 OUTlen:60   TCP :1370 ->80    Seq:2160003889 Ack:0          SYN
pkt:9 OUTlen:73   TCP :1370 ->80    Seq:2160003890 Ack:2123759452 ACK PSH
pkt:10 OUTlen:60   TCP :1370 ->80    Seq:2160003909 Ack:0          RST
pkt:11 OUTlen:60   TCP :1370 ->80    Seq:2160003909 Ack:0          RST
pkt:12 OUTlen:60   IP:192.168.0.1    ->192.168.0.11    ICMP:Echo Request

I've tried exiting the utility, and doing a "no debug all".  Short of reloading the device, can I remove the capture somehow?

Re: Question: how to delete or remove debug filter capture

Hi Angie,

     I would try setting the buffer size to 0 to clear the packets.

e.g.

ServerIron(debug-filter-all-all)# buffer-size 0

Thanks

Michael.

Re: Question: how to delete or remove debug filter capture

Thanks!  I was able to do a similar command to what you suggested.  You can't directly set the buffer size to 0, it's not a valid number:

lab-adx(debug-filter-MP)#buffer-size 0
Capture buffer size accepted range (1-262144) KB

But, your point to clear the buffer-size was correct.  After doing a "no buffer-size" I was able to clear the capture data.

lab-adx(debug-filter-MP)#no buffer-size 1024
lab-adx(debug-filter-MP)#sh buffer-size
Capture buffer size: 0 bytes

lab-adx(debug-filter-MP)#sum
lab-adx(debug-filter-MP)#

Thanks for your response Michael!
