Load balancing for accounting messages

Dear all,

I have ADX1000 to load balance the radius traffic; i have configured it to load balance the authentication traffic (1812) and the accounting traffic (1813).

the authentication traffic is working fine but the accounting traffic is only forwarded to one server i.e. no load balance happen.

server real radius01 X.Y.Z.218
port radius
port radius keepalive
port radius username "kamal"
port radius password "kamal"
port radius key "xxxx"
port ssh
port 1813
!
server real radius02 X.Y.Z.219
port radius
port radius keepalive
port radius username "kamal"
port radius password "kamal"
port radius key "xxxx"
port ssh
port 1813
!
server real radius03 X.Y.Z.220
port radius
port radius keepalive
port radius username "kamal"
port radius password "kamal"
port radius key "xxxx"
!
!
server virtual vssh X.Y.Z.207
port ssh
bind ssh radius01 ssh radius02 ssh
!
server virtual vradius X.Y.Z.217
predictor round-robin
port radius
port 1813
bind radius radius01 radius radius02 radius
bind 1813 radius01 1813 radius02 1813

And also, some show commands:

Re: Load balancing for accounting messages

hmmmm,

looking at the below TotalConn is 981 in the header shows 981  -  yet in TotConn is show as 0

telnet@AAA-SLB01#shserver virtual vradius 1813

Name: vradius                State: Enabled             IP:X.Y.Z.217:   1
Pred: round-robin            ACL-Id: 0                  TotalConn: 981

Port    State     Sticky  Concur  Proxy  DSR   CurConn  TotConn  PeakConn
----    -----     ------  ------  -----  ---   -------  -------  --------

1813    enabled   NO      NO      NO     NO    1        0        1

Total weight for virtual port = 3
SLB state for vport = Healthy

Binding Information:

                      radius03: X.Y.Z.220,  1813 (Active)

Bound Port Information:

It should show something like (so I think it might be a bug) --- What version of code are you running?

Re: Load balancing for accounting messages

Hi Ahmed,

I do not  have the release notes for 12.2.1 but I think I remember a bug elated to what you are seeing in 12.1.  Suggest you try an upgade to version 12.2.1.

Thanks

Michael.
