Is it possible to load balance servers which are public / non-local using the ServerIron ?

I do have the requirement to load balance some servers which are not local. The ServerIron is part of one of our internal subnet but the real server I have to load balance traffic two are somewhere else (public servers). It is looking like the following:

CLIENTs

    |

    |

Internet -------------------------------- ServerIrons (VIP being public)

    |

    |

    |

real servers (public IPs)

Traffic from various clients need to go to the ServerIron, the ServerIron needs to load balance the traffic to the real servers in the internet. Do I have to expect any problems here?

This is possible. It is not really different from load balancing local server. Servers which are not local are so called remote servers talking about the configuration of the ServerIron.
