I have Brocage ADX1000 and want to change router code to switch code.
But I don't have documentation how I do it.
Best regards, Vladimir

Good question - I have not played with an ADX as yet.
If like most Brocade devices, then please do a 'show flash' and check to see if the code is loaded into the primary or secondary flash area.
You will most likey need to enther 'boot system flash primary' or 'boot system flash secondary' depending on where the code sits. Do this on the config term level and a 'write mem' so it will allways boot from the right area.
If you post the show flash results I will look for you.

ok, it looks like this acts more like a MLX/XMR.
from the config level enter the command 'route-only' (from the config term level), this will disbale layer 2 and make the switch a router. Doing this on the config term level will make all port router ports. If you wish to enable only some of the port as layer 3 then enther the command on the interface level.
Yep A1B12000.bin is the boot image witch loads ASR12200.

you need the switching image. ASM12xxx.bin... then you need to get it into flash. either via USB or tftp.
via USB: copy usb1 flash ASM12xxx.bin primary
via TFTP: copy tftp flash a.b.c.d ASM12xxx.bin primary

sorry misread the question.
to save the image. to a tftp server on ip addrees a.b.c.d use the follow
copy flash tftp a.b.c.d mysave.img secondary

So long as you have a login to the Foundry portal at https://kp.foundrynet.com
