How do I configure persistency using cookies set by the real servers?

I do not want to have the ServerIron doing cookie insert - I would like to set the cookies at the real servers itself. How does it work?

Have a look at the following document talking about persistency using cookie which are getting inserted by the ServerIron:

and change the configuration to look like:

csw-rule "r1" header "cookie" search "ServerID="

    match "r1" persist offset 0 length 4 group-or-server-id
    default forward 1

The cookie insertion is not part of the configuration anymore. The ServerIron is still searching for a cookie with the name "ServerID" - you do need to ensure your real servers do set a cookie with the name "ServerID" and the real servers should use their server-id as value for this cookie.
