Difference between Source-IP and Source-NAT-IP ?

Hi,

1) Is there a difference between Source-IP and Source-NAT-IP (except for route/bridge code usage) ?

2) If I have to replace the source IP of outbound traffic (traffic from real servers to internet), should I use PAT or Source-NAT-IP for ADX running Router code ?

Thanks !

Re: Difference between Source-IP and Source-NAT-IP ?

Just to add info for others:

1) Source-IP is used primarily in switch code and Source-nat-ip is used primarily in route code. Source-ip defined is in the interface that is closer to the client and source-nat-ip is from the network where the real-server exist.

2) Source-nat-ip is used to replace the source-ip for traffic from client to real server. Dynamic NAT / PAT is used to replace the source IP for traffic initiated by real server. Reverse-nat can also be used for this purpose.

Hope it helps others
