Convert NAS-242 to ServerIron ADX1000

I will appreciate it if you can help me convert this piece of Nortel code to Serverion?

/c/slb/group 1
        ipver v4
        metric hash
        add 1
        add 2
        add 3
        name "Prox1"
/c/slb/group 2
        ipver v4
        metric hash
        add 4
        add 5
        add 6
        name "Prox2"
/c/slb/group 3
        ipver v4
        metric hash
        add 7
        add 15
        name "Prox3"
/c/slb/group 4
        ipver v4
        metric hash
        add 8
        add 9
        add 10
        name "Prox4"
/c/slb/group 5
        ipver v4
        metric hash
        add 11
        add 12
        add 13
        add 14
        name "Prox5"

I think the way I did it has resulted in cliets being booted "off" when the real server they are directed to is shutdown, isntead of seemlesly moving to the next real server in the group.

Re: Convert NAS-242 to ServerIron ADX1000

It looks like it could be because of your group metric of hash. On the Alteon if you have this metric it will re-hash and thus break and redisitribute all connections to the group's servers when a server either becomes unavailable or re-enters the pool. This might have been translated to something in your ADX config that also either is rehashing after a timeout period or is doing a force rehash. This should also be under the group config on the ADX as well.
