Stingray Alerting (SMTP Subject)

Hi All,

Is it possible to add a subject to the Email Alerting feature.  I need to send alerts to an SMS server with specific subject line wording.

Re: Stingray Alerting (SMTP Subject)

I was wondering if a quick fix with /bin/mail wouldn't help you out?

something simple like:

#!/usr/bin/bash

# For clarity's sake: pick up the command line arguments and make them into something recognisable

ALERTNAME=$1

ALERTBODY=$2

# Set the specific subject you want here. (Keep the quotes intact or mail will only use the first word as the subject!)

SUBJECT="sms gateway specific subject"

TO=mysmsgateway@example.com

echo $ALERTBODY | mail -s $SUBJECT $TO

Might need a little bit of tuning to do what you intend. Ofcourse perl or whatever language you care for will work too.
