For the time being im able to use 9.6 with ubuntu 64bit as the vm machine (using 9.6 vmdk as the disk file).
But it would not be possible to use 9.8 and it cannot be upgraded from 9.6 due to limited disk size warning...
Appreciate the help received. Looking this as a method for self learning and demo to others

i have Steelapp "Stingray Traffic Manager: 9.8r2" running on a Ubuntu Trusty 64, which is a guest running within Oracle VirtualBox v4.3.12 orchestrated through Vagrant.
No problems whatsoever.

But thanks for the responce
