Setting IP address of Vyatta

I cant seem to ping the other switches on the network; we have Vyatta running on a VM, the host is connected to a management switch (ICX6450-C12), all the other switches are connected to this same management switch, all other switches can ping each other, but the Vyatta cannot ping them...I tried assigning a IP address to an Interface, but im wondering if there is a way to assign an IP address to the Vyatta itself....like assigning an IP address to a switch

Re: Setting IP address of Vyatta

Naiche,

Vyatta is a router, not a switch. So, you will need to set up IP address on the eth0/eth1 interface. Do you run a layer 3 code on your management switch? I think you will need a layer 3 link between this management switch and your host.
