Web Tools Download Location?

Where is the download link for Web Tools?  I recently reimaged my laptop and need to reinstall it but it's nowhere to be found.

Re: Web Tools Download Location?

You can launch webtools by pointing the browser to the IP/domain name of the switch. Webtools is hosted on the switch and can be run on demand.

Re: Web Tools Download Location?

OK, well, now I'm fighting with browser and Java issues.  In the past, I've had to use Firefox because IE and Chrome wouldn't work.  At this point none of the three are working.  I'm getting the following error pretty consistently with all three browsers:

Exception encountered during initialization: com.brocade.web.secsan.SecureSANException: white space not allowed.

The errors appears after the authentication page and doesn't launch the application.

Is there a recommended browser/Java version mix that actually works?

Re: Web Tools Download Location?

I'm running 6.4.3 and 6.4.3f.  I had both Java 7 (71)  and Java 8 (25) installed.  I uninstalled both, restarted browsers, and reinstalled 7 (71).  Now I get a "Unable to launch the application" error.  I've downgraded the Java security parameters to medium, added in my two hosts as exception, and still can't get the thing to launch.

I hate Java...

Re: Web Tools Download Location?

OK...here's the winning combination (for me at least)

  • Windows 7
  • Firefox 33.1.1
  • Java 7 Update 71
  • Set Firefox and Java proxy settings for "Direct Connection"

I uninstalled Java 8 so Java 7 is the only one installed.
