I have configured Event Action in the SAN Network Advisor, when a port goes offline, I get an email. Now I see the port name in the text of the mail. In the subject of the mail, I see the switch IP address:
Warning: 10.3.2.83 - Port 17 (0/17) changed its operational state to offline
I want to see the port name here, which is offline, like:
Warning: spwas002-s3-p1 - Port 17 (0/17) changed its operational state to offline
This can be done under Monitor - Event Processing - Event Actions - Edit - 5. Action Group - 5.2 E-Mail Settings under Subject,
"Select Custom to enter a new event description in the Subject field"
Can I enter a variable for the port name here? If so, how is the variable (e.g.,%PORT_NAME% or $ PORT_NAME)?

I spoke with a TAC representative regarding your inquiry and this was their response:
The Subject field is just for text and won't recognize a variable. However, I think I can help you
get most of what you want. We can't prevent BNA email from putting the switch IP in the subject field
but you can modify the SNMP trap responsible for port offline / online events to include the port name.
Port $2 changed its operational state to $1
$3 - Port $2 changed its operational state to $1
So after running all these steps, here is an example from my lab switch with a port 60 set up as an ISL. I've edited the output for brevity:
port 60: Bartertown
K08-5300-153-69:root> portdisable 60
** EMAIL SUBJECT LINE **
Warning: 10.26.153.69 - Bartertown - Port 60 (0/60) changed its operational state to offline

I have another question, maybe you have a solution as well:
The alarm now works perfectly with physical ports.
I would like also a mail, if a virtual port (NPIV) is "down".
Do you have a solution for this?

I wanted to check in with you - TAC has been unable to reach you regarding this open issue within the Brocade Community and has closed the case I opened as a result.
